Ensuring all information on patients diagnosed with cancer (National Cancer Dataset with additional local items), is collected and entered onto the appropriate databases to agreed standards and timeframes, to satisfy the needs of Cancer Waiting Times, National Cancer Dataset, Regional Registries, Royal Colleges, National Clinical Audit Support Programme (NCASP), and locally perceived requirements That data is reviewed regularly with regard to updating of patient journey and validation of data quality. The provision of data analysis and reporting to external bodies as appropriate. This job forms part of a team of cancer data clerks undertaking the collection and reporting of National Service Framework data, Cancer Waiting Times data, National Cancer Data Sets data, Cancer Registry data, and other cancer data for national, regional and local purposes, covering a total of 10 cancer tumour specific sites. Maintain Infoflex Cancer System (or other data collection systems) Responsible for capturing and recording data accurately on all patients in a timely manner within the tumour specific site in a timely manner to comply with the Trust’s legal requirements for uploading to the National Cancer Registry. Liaise with CWT Co-ordinators to ensure data is accurate and complete.
