Prepworld have an exciting new opportunity for a Packaging, Yard & Waste Management Supervisor to oversee the Packaging, Yard & Waste Team Leaders and Operatives. The Supervisor will be responsible for all packaging, yard & waste areas being kept tidy and organised, and no unauthorised staff entering the packaging stores or yard areas. In the event of absences, the Supervisor would carry out Team Leader and Operative duties where required, to ensure the daily targets are met. Main Duties: The organisation of the team and to overseeing the Packaging, Yard & Waste Management teams in their day-to-day work to ensure all staff are working correctly following all procedures. Conduct effective staff training ensuring all staff are competent to carry out specific tasks, training will also be supported by your line manager Support and oversee when required with customer tray stock counts. Support and oversee when required pallet stock counts. Have knowledge of all packaging SKU’s & customer tray types. Be able to read and understand email requests and action accordingly. Overseeing the movement of pallets/stock around the warehouse & Yard in a safe and controlled manner. Oversee and support in the unloading of delivery vehicles that arrive on site in a safe and controlled manner following all intake processes. To oversee as well be able to drive and handle all MHE equipment in a respectful, controlled, and safe manner ensuring all start up documents are filled in correctly Supervise the picking and supplying of packaging in advance according to the daily packaging plans and supply to the airlock room in preparation for production Take ownership of delivery notes and ensure these are signed and passed onto the relevant departments. Oversee the Organisation of stock in the stores in a clear and logical way and ensure all internal codes have been applied correctly with the correct information To Supervise and oversee all Waste duties including waste disposal and recycling. Ensure all machinery start up checks are completed, and any defects reported to Packaging, Yard & Waste Management Controller (Line Manager) Understand how to read the packaging plans/Bill of material to identify correct stocks needed for production Understand the differences between and being responsible for the Current, new, and redundant stocks and why segregation of these is important Effectively liaise with Customer equipment and purchasing teams regarding delivery discrepancies Ability to correctly oversee the unloading on arrival, and bulk stack in correct areas Promote good H&S practices, and breifing the team on any new company policies that are issued.
