Cambridge Must have right to work in the UK This Cambridge based biotech are developing revolutionary genomic technologies that improve the lives of cancer patients through early diagnosis. They have just secured another round of funding and so are looking to continue to grow their data science function. We are looking for an experienced Data Scientist, with an educational background in Maths and Statistics. With a passion for their application to biological data sets. You’ll be working on the design, development and implementation of statistical methods for analysis and reporting of genomic and clinical datasets. This position will be working collaboratively with product development, wet lab scientists and operations teams. So you will need to be able to take complex scientific concepts and translate them into a language that non-technical audiences can understand. Experience Needed PhD in Maths/Statistics/Data Science or other quantitative discipline Post doc or Industry experience required Experience working with Biological data Statistical programming experience (Python highly preferred) Experience developing statistical and machine learning methods and tools Good communication skills (must be able to translate complex scientific concepts to non-technical audiences) This is an exciting time for this biotech as they continue to scale up and grow following their funding, you will have the chance to play a part in improving the lives of cancer patients globally.
