We are delighted to be assisting a highly respected electrical training provider based in the West Midlands to hire an Electrical Installation Tutor. The provider, who are an Ofsted rated GOOD organisation, currently train over 600 electrical apprentices across the county and due to growth are looking to add an Electrical Tutor/ Lecturer to their team due to growth. This role is not only open to experienced electrical tutors but also anybody who has vast experience of electrical installation and wants to have a change in career to help the next generation of electrical installers. It's perfect for somebody who loves to help, mentor and train individuals and would offer high levels of job satisfaction when you see students complete their apprenticeships. Based at the companies Birmingham Centre, you will teach both theoretical and practical lessons to apprentices aged 16. Students will either be from a new setting or currently employed within an electrical environment and wanting to up-skill on their current knowledge. Applicants are required to have good knowledge of electrical principles and able to enrich your lessons through your own industry and career experienced. Duties will consist of: - Delivering theoretical and practical sessions to apprentices undertaking City & Guilds 5357 Electrical Apprenticeship. - Assessing and teaching practical sessions for apprentices and adult learners. - Planning, marking and assessing teaching sessions. - Supporting learners with extra support if needed. - Working with employers and supporting successful training of their apprentices. - Undertaking assessment & skills scans at their training centre. - Assessing practical assessments in the centre. Desired Skills & Experience - Previous experience as an electrical tutor (or a qualified electrician looking for a change of direction). - Qualified to at least AET (PTLLS) Level (if qualified) - C&G Electrical Installation Level 2 and Level 3 or equivalent - Relevant industry qualifications e.g. 18th Edition, 2394/95, PAT Testing - NVQ Level 3 - A passion for helping people achieve - Good IT Skills - Positive attitude - Excellent communication skills - Minimum of 5 years experience "on the tools
