This English tutor role will be ideal if you have previous experience of teaching, teaching assistant, SEN one-to-one or tutoring and are looking for some flexible work. It will be based working with Primary/Secondary children in the Northampton area.
This English tutor role involves:
1. Working with children with SEN needs who need to provide face to face support to children with ASD, SEMH at their homes, care homes or a local area e.g., library which can be agreed with the parents/carers.
2. Planning resources around the child’s needs, this could be on developing their knowledge in English.
3. Managing behaviour and implementing a range of behaviour strategies.
What we are looking for in an English tutor:
1. SEN experience (as teaching assistant, one-to-one or any other)
2. Able to plan and deliver engaging, nurturing sessions.
3. Applying skills to raise pupils’ confidence and learning.
