The role
As a ERP Business Change – Programme Manager, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. Your primary role will be to take responsibility for leading Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) based engagements which embrace all aspects of business change, design, functional and technical build, business acceptance and solution implementation.
Day-to-day, you’ll you will lead all ERP engagements to transform Babcock businesses throughout the full lifecycle of a project. The role will include contract schedules, planning, mobilising, and leading the implementation of ERP and related often integrated applications in Agile, Hybrid and Waterfall environments. Further responsibilities include:
1. Ensure programme objectives and scope are agreed and maintained, ensuring continual alignment with business strategy
2. Define and maintain programme governance arrangements, documenting meetings, roles and responsibilities, reporting and communication approach and any other required programme controls
3. For each programme, build and matrix manage a project delivery team, including project managers, members of other Babcock delivery organisations and third parties where appropriate
4. Ensure that realistic estimates of costs, timescales and resource requirements within the programme are agreed
5. Set and manage the programme budget, with careful management of risk and contingency to minimise impact on forecasts
6. Manage risks and dependencies
This role is full time, 37.5 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements.
Essential experience of the ERP Business Change – Programme Manager:
7. Project Management experience within a technology environment
8. Programme Management experience within a technology environment
9. Personable and professional leadership style that is customer focused and always strives to achieve a win-win scenario despite having to resolve conflict and take difficult decisions on behalf of the Group
10. Experienced with all aspects of ERP delivery through hand over to early life support
11. Expert in principles, methods, techniques and tools for the effective management of projects and programmes from initiation through to implementation. Example: MSP, PRINCE2, Waterfall, Hybrid and Agile methodologies
Qualifications for the ERP Business Change – Programme Manager:
12. Programme management qualification such as MSP (Managing Successful Programmes) is desirable
13. Project Management qualified such as IS Project Management (Higher Level), MAPM - Member of the Association for Project Management, PMP ® - Project Management Professional, Practitioner Certificate in PRINCE2 ®, Chartered IT Professional (CITP), SCRUM Master, PMI ACP, APMG AgilePM
