Security Advisor & Support Conflict Resolution Trainer - Peterborough
Assist in the promotion of a pro-security culture throughout the Trust to help reduce incidents of theft and protect Trust assets, as well as violence and aggression towards staff.
Provide the highest standard of professional guidance to Trust staff, supporting the management of non-clinical risks and promoting safe working practices throughout the Trust.
To promote the Trust's values in creating a safe and secure environment in which to deliver the highest standards of clinical care to the Trust's patients.
You will need to have the ability to work cross-site at all Trust premises.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will predominantly provide a security advisor role with support to cover Conflict Resolution training where necessary to patient-facing staff. You will also be expected to cover the following training provided by the Health, Safety & Security team where needed:
* Managing Challenging Behaviour (Control and Restraint Training)
* Inanimate Load Training
* First Aid at Work
* Health and Safety Training
* Security Training
* PREVENT Training

Job responsibilities
* Responsible for pro-actively keeping up-to-date with relevant legislation, Trust policies, and procedures to ensure training materials are relevant and there is quality access to training, development, and education opportunities.
* Providing a specialist advisory service to staff with issues relating to training, development, and education, often communicating sensitive or difficult information.
* Be proactive in identifying solutions to increase training compliance across Divisions.
* Participate in the development of internal policies, practices, and procedures for training-related topics.
* Positively contribute to the Health, Safety & Security function through developing relationships with other teams and advocating for education throughout the Hospital.
* Work as a collaborative member of the team and seek appropriate training and development opportunities to positively contribute to the department's goals and objectives.
* Recognize one's own role within the team, responding objectively to new ideas and positively promoting cooperation to ensure effective team performance.
* Support the Health, Safety & Security team with investigating Datix incidents in a timely manner.
* Assist with viewing and monitoring CCTV and Body Worn Camera footage and auditing the footage.
* Undertake any other duties appropriate to the grade, as reasonably required by the Health, Safety & Security Manager.

* Teaching qualification (e.g. PTLLS)

* Familiar with Microsoft packages
