This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the already established Clozapine and Lithium Clinics, whilst supporting the ongoing development of Physical Health Monitoring Clinics. The post holder will take the lead in the assessment and monitoring needs of mental health service users who require physical health monitoring as part of their care, and will be responsible for the continuing development and evaluation of physical health and wellbeing clinics. They will support Consultant Psychiatrists in the assessment needs of service users attending such Clinics. Manage Clozaril Clinics ensuring there are enhanced communication links with ECPMS and Sysmex in order to provide point of site testing for service users. Use enhanced communication skills, knowledge and ability in assessing the mental state, concordance, and side-effect profiling of service users attending such clinics Using effective communication they will support the psychiatrist/MDT to establish the efficacy of medication and with the ongoing assessment and management of needs and risks.
