This established and fast-growing charitable organisation is seeking an experienced finance professional for a 6 month interim contract. Overview Our client is an established and rapidly growing charity. The are going through a system implementation and require a 6 month interim finance professional to support the team and work alongside the implementation project manager. The Role Reporting to the Head of Financial Accounting, this role will be responsible for: The effective daily management of the Financial Operations Team Overseeing the team delivery of Accounts Payable & Receivable Rent Accounting Cash and banking transactions Employee expense payments and credit card transactions. Assisting in the preparation of the monthly Association Management Accounts developing reports from the Finance system to deliver timely reporting, with supporting documentation available electronically. Prepare agreed supporting schedules and notes to support the annual financial statements for the annual audit. The Candidate They are looking for someone who: Is Immediately available. Has a professional accountancy qualification (CIMA/ACCA/ACA). Candidates qualified by experience will be considered if they have significant experience of leading teams in complex organisations and have experience of new systems implementation. Has experience of leading and developing direct reports. Has a sound understanding of accounting concepts and reporting requirements under relevant accounting standards. Experience of working in a charity or housing sector is desirable. Experience of working in an environment going through new system implementation and providing support to the project lead where needed. Is proficient in excel and MS office. Has a strong ability to present complex financial issues to senior staff and board members. The Terms Generous annual leave allowance of 33 days per year, including statutory bank holidays, rising to 35 days with service (Pro rota for interim contract) £60k p.a. (pro-rated for interim contract). Full-time, 35 hours per week. The role is office based in Hemel Hempstead. This is a 6 month interim contract, with an immediate start required.
