PURPOSE STATEMENT
The company has seen consistent growth in its valve business over the last few years. This key role has been created with the purpose of building on that success. The Senior Sales Engineer will be responsible for managing and expanding relationships with existing clients while identifying and securing new business opportunities
With a focus on selling valves and associated products, the Senior Sales Engineer will play a crucial role in driving revenue growth and ensuring customer satisfaction.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
·Prepare detailed, technical, accurate sales quotations to customers both domestically and internationally.
·Promote, sell and secure orders from existing and prospective customers through a relationship-based approach.
·Identify and prospect for new business opportunities, expanding the customer base.
·Work closely with other departments within the organisation: Quality Team, Sales Support, and Operations Teams for the fulfilment of customer orders.
·Ensure product compliance with industry standards and customer specifications.
·Liaise with Procurement and Quality teams to ensure product availability and performance.
·Share market insights and customer feedback within the organisation to support strategic decision-making and product/service enhancements.
REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS
* A track record of sales growth and business development in the valve industry.
* In-depth knowledge of valve types and specifications.
* Experience in dealing with and interpreting customer specifications.
* A sound knowledge in regards the marketplace for valve manufacturers and suppliers.
* Proven work experience in dealing and negotiating with customers.
* Sound methodology in qualifying the prospects of individual sales enquiries.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Business acumen with a problem-solving attitude.
