Quality Manager
We are currently working with one of the UK’s leading manufacturing companies within the aerospace sector, they are looking to add a Quality Manager to their team. The Quality Manager will implement, and drive class leading Quality vision to all departments of the business including production operations and regulatory requirements.
The Role:
1. Provide leadership to the company Quality function and its activities, working in partnership with operations, engineering and planning and supply chain functions to ensure products meet all quality standards and customer specifications.
2. Ensuring all agreed Quality processes are efficient and scalable to meet the operations business plan through a fully resourced and capable quality team who have the right skills and motivation to deliver to customer requirements.
3. Manage audit and corrective actions programmes, preparing and chairing internal and external audits; addressing audit finding and instigating appropriate plans to rectify.
4. Manage and develop formal quality systems in compliance with ISO / AS / AS / AS/NADCAP and customer requirements.
5. Driving and championing a culture of continuous improvement by establishing and implementing processes to determine root cause and corrective action for quality system escapes.
Person specification
6. HND/Degree qualified and/or significant relevant Quality experience in a manufacturing environment.
7. In depth aerospace or relevant industry experience
8. Demonstrated ability to effectively solve problems and implement practical solutions in a manufacturing environment
9. Detailed knowledge of quality systems and regulations, specifically AS/AS/AS/AS
10. Have a strong continuous improvement mindset and have proven experience of dealing with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
