Role Summary
As a Quality Engineer, you will be an integral part of our QHSE function and will be responsible for maintaining and improving the company’s QMS, as well as acting as a key interface for Quality, with both internal and external customers. As part of your role, there will also be Inspection-related tasks which you are required to deliver.
Key Accountabilities
1. The identification and implementation of quality improvement opportunities across the manufacturing site, branches, and suppliers.
2. Investigation and resolution of Customer Complaints including RCA and CAPA.
3. Inspection, test and release activities as required including Goods Inwards, In Process and Final Inspection using various inspection techniques.
4. Performing a range of NDE testing including Dye Penetration and Positive Material Inspection.
5. Collection and reporting of Internal and supplier NC data.
6. Facilitation of the Supplier Complaints process, ensuring timely responses are received.
7. Be the primary point of contact for Aerospace for the Quality Dept.
8. Conduct internal QMS and Process audits.
9. Manage and maintain the site calibration process, ensuring all equipment is compliant and available.
10. Maintenance and analysis of data to communicate and improve key quality objectives.
11. Provide cover for other members of the Quality Dept as required.
12. Effective time management, organisational and prioritisation skills.
13. Rational thinker.
14. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software.
Qualifications / Experience
1. Time served experience in similar roles within similar industries.
2. Experience of reading engineering drawings and using measuring equipment.
3. Mechanical Engineering qualification - Apprenticeship or similar.
