Join a leading mental health research team that has secured over £40M in joint funding over the last five years. Led by Professor Ann John, the team focuses on child and adolescent mental health and suicide and self-harm prevention. Professor Ann John is the Director of the newly awarded National Centre for Suicide and Self-Harm Prevention (NCSSHP), Chair of the National Advisory Group on Suicide and Self-Harm Prevention to the Welsh Government, a member of SAGE, a Trustee of The Samaritans, and Co-Director of DATAMIND, the Health Data Research UK Hub for Mental Health.
The NCSSHP, led by Swansea University in collaboration with Cardiff University, the University of South Wales, and The Samaritans, will revolutionise suicide and self-harm prevention by translating cutting-edge research into real-world impact. With a cross-government and cross-sectoral focus, the Centre will drive innovative research, foster collaboration across disciplines, and build research capacity to develop evidence-based strategies for suicide and self-harm prevention.
We are looking for a Project Administrator to play a vital role in the NCSSHP. You will work closely with the Project Manager and Communications & Engagement Officer to ensure the project meets its objectives. You’ll assist with preparing project reports, handling correspondence, and managing communications with internal and external stakeholders. You will also respond to inquiries efficiently and support the team in keeping the project on track with its timelines and budgets. We are seeking someone with experience in project coordination, strong communication and organizational skills, and a passion for making a positive impact. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a project that will drive innovative research, foster collaboration across disciplines, and build research capacity to develop evidence-based strategies for suicide and self-harm prevention.
