Where you will be working: East Farm Cottage is a 3-bed permanent therapeutic residential home for children and young people aged between 6 -18 years who have various Emotional and Behavioural needs. Action for Children strive to create a homely and supportive environment where the children can thrive and develop by us supporting them with all aspects of their care using trauma informed practice. Here at East Farm Cottage, we focus on making sure the children's voices are always heard and pride ourselves on providing a collaborative and caring service. A bit about the role As a Therapeutic Residential Worker, you will work with a wide range of professionals to ensure that the children and young people you support develop to their full potential. We will actively support you in your role and provide you with regular supervision / APR process and specialist training, from our newly developed Professional Development Centre. Being an advocate for the wellbeing of the young people Working within a Therapeutic model of care that has been specifically designed to support staff in providing trauma-informed, compassionate care for young people in residential care. Let's talk about you. QCF 3 diploma for children and Young People's workforce social care pathway or equivalent is desirable, or the willingness to work towards this.
