Position: Assistant Site Manager
Location: Bristol
Project: £65 million commercial/industrial scheme (until 2027)
The role will commence from an already demolished site, progressing through groundwork, structures, and fit-out across the scheme over the next 26 months, including steel-framed buildings, associated car parks, and office space.
The ideal candidate will be part of the team reporting to the Project Manager, overseeing their own section of works throughout the project. Responsibilities include programming and planning of works, alongside daily, weekly, and monthly team meetings with both subcontractors and clients as required.
Key responsibilities include managing subcontractor packages, ensuring they meet targets and safety standards, and enabling the Project Manager to address client representatives regarding programme changes, updates, issues, and technical queries to keep the project on track while maintaining safety and quality standards.
You will work closely with the established Project Manager and Contracts Manager to deliver the scheme safely, on time, and within budget, coordinating and managing both construction and fit-out teams, with updates to the short-term programme on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
Requirements:
1. Civil engineering background with experience in fast-paced steel-framed commercial projects.
2. Current CSCS, SMSTS, and First Aid certifications.
3. Experience in managing health and safety and overseeing projects from start to finish (handover).
This is an immediate start for the right, suitably qualified candidate. There is ongoing work and an opportunity to continue on subsequent projects for the rest of the year, with job security likely due to current growth.
