CLA Social Worker (Child Care Experienced Team)
Bridgend
up to £38.43 in line with ADSS pledge
A Qualified Social Worker is required to join a CLA service based in Bridgend, South Wales for an initial 6 month contract. Pay rate for this role is up to £38.43 per hour in line with the All Wales Pledge. This is ideally a full time position; however, part time applicants will be considered. Hybrid working arrangements available. When working on site, the office base is Bridgend Civic Offices in the town centre.
Primarily, the team has long-standing cases where children are subject to care orders placed either in foster care, residential, or at home under PWP. The BCBC policy is that safeguarding hubs should not be transferring adoption cases to us until they are searched for at least 6 months. However, BCBC policy is that they take the siblings of children already open to them. They may have a child open to them under PWP, and the younger siblings are not open under an order. Some cases will include CP / PLO and court work through proceedings. The team also deals with discharge of care orders, which is also court work. In addition, they supervise family time, undertake life story / journey work, deal with duty, and all the other day-to-day practices of social work.
