Job summary We currently have an exciting opportunity to join our highly acclaimed and well-established Physiotherapy Department, based at Salford Care Organisation on a full-time basis. The opportunity is within our MSK outpatient team and will involve working as part of the multidisciplinary workforce to support patient care and the day-to-day running of the service. The role will include, but not limited to administration duties, stock taking, patient bookings, individual sessions with patients as prescribed by physiotherapist, setting up and supporting group classes and supervising hydrotherapy sessions. This is an incredible opportunity for somebody who wants to make a difference by supporting an individual's recovery from illness or injury, and to be part of a dynamic and friendly team. Successful candidates will have a clear competency framework to work to and a robust period of induction when joining the team, with an ongoing structure for supervision and development. Main duties of the job You will support and assist with the work of the Physiotherapists in providing assessment, planning and delivering treatment programmes to patients with multiple needs.You will also take responsibility for administration tasks to ensure the department and team's needs are met. This will include booking appointment, general admin, stock taking, cleaning equipment and class preparation.You should have evidence of a good standard of education including GSCE's or equivalent in English and Math's with a NVQ Level 3 qualification, or equivalent, and be able to demonstrate a good understanding of the role of a Therapy Assistant.You will have good communication skills, the ability to use your own initiative, good time management skills and the ability toproblem solve.Experience of working within a team is also required and, if this has not been in a health care setting, we would expect the successful candidate to be able to demonstrate and evidence the relevant transferable skills.
