A high-growth, boutique corporate finance advisory firm based in Central London is currently seeking a Corporate Finance Director/Associate Director to join their expanding team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced, entrepreneurial individual with relevant M&A transaction experience leading teams, to join a specialist team working with multinational media clients on UK and international deals.
This role will be responsible for leading deals and supporting the Managing Director on strategy and execution. They will drive team development and successful business development as well as actively contribute to P&L management. Responsibilities include:
* Manage pipeline of potential deals working closely with the senior leadership team.
* Establish and develop robust corporate finance processes including pitch materials, deal process documents, financial models and completed deal follow-up plans.
* Contribute to the operational and financial success of the team.
* Lead the development of annual Acquisition Report.
* Lead business development activities for Corporate Finance business, generating and converting relevant leads and securing sale mandates.
* Work alongside Scaleup Advisory practice to deliver Value Creation Plans for retained clients, nurturing them through to exit.
* Contribute to content marketing, through articles, hosting roundtables, and speaking at events/webinars.
* Build and nurture relationships with major buyers across trade and private equity.
* Lead M&A deals, overseeing IM and financial model development.
* Ensure data room and due diligence processes are professionally managed.
* Coordinate clients’ professional advisers and in-house teams (legal, tax, finance).
* Manage in-house and contractor team including advisers and analysts.
* Evaluate, implement and manage access to deal tracking databases.
* Evaluate and negotiate costs for the company’s software systems and oversee new system implementation.
* Develop and manage buyer intelligence resource and build playbook to continually improve replicability and scalability.
* Work continuously with professional and legal advisers to ensure that the business is up to date with regulatory and compliance requirements in client and buyer jurisdictions.
* Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency.
The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years’ corporate finance experience including both UK and International transactions. Candidates must be highly numerate and literate with the ability to construct both visual and financial narratives and have leadership qualities. You must have a proven track record of leading deals including large and complex transactions with minimal oversight – M&A experience should cover a broad range across sell-side, buy-side and private equity fundraising with private equity and debt structuring.
