About Us:
We are a fast-growing, dynamic company specialising in the maintenance and support of Ground Support Equipment (GSE) at Luton Airport. As part of our expanding team, we are offering an exciting opportunity for a skilled and motivated Service Engineer to join us.
The Role:
As a Service Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing a variety of GSE, ensuring our customers receive the highest level of service and support. No two days will be the same, so adaptability and problem-solving skills are essential. You will work both independently and as part of a small, close-knit team, meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Due to the location of the role you will be required to apply for an airside pass, which involves background checks and references.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide range of Ground Support Equipment (GSE), including aircraft tugs, baggage conveyors, and ground power units.
2. Work to strict deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.
3. Communicate effectively with customers, understanding their needs and ensuring excellent service delivery.
4. Keep accurate records of work completed using IT systems.
5. Adapt to changing priorities, handling a varied and unpredictable workload.
Requirements:
1. Ideally have some experience working on Ground Support Equipment (GSE), though not essential, but will consider HGV or heavy plant experience.
2. Strong mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic fault-finding skills.
3. Customer-focused approach with excellent communication skills.
4. IT literate – able to use diagnostic software and update service records.
5. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
6. A problem solver with an adaptive mindset – every day will be different.
7. Full UK driving license.
