As the leading accrediting body for workplace transport training we help transport and logistics operations improve efficiency, create a culture of safety, reduce costs, and most importantly save lives by improving the standard of training and assessment delivery to lift truck, plant and HGV drivers.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated person who is based in the East of England to join the RTITB team (currently 60+ people) as an Examiner and Auditor.
This is a busy, demanding and varied role. Your work activities will be scheduled by the head office in accordance with business needs. You will work 37.5 hours per week (Monday - Friday). Regular and extensive travel (including overnight stays, at times on a Sunday evening) throughout the UK and Ireland are necessary to complete scheduled work activities on customer premises. You will be required to work such additional hours as are necessary for the proper performance of your duties without extra remuneration.
Due to business demands the successful applicant must be based in one of the following areas;
* Bedfordshire
* Cambridgeshire
* Norfolk
* Suffolk
Full Training will be provided for this role. Please note a training agreement may be considered for the successful candidate, tailored to your specific needs based on prior experience and qualifications. Details of this agreement will be discussed during the interview stage.
The interview will be conducted at our head office (Telford) and include a practical examination (with a pre-interview remote meeting scheduled prior to this)
Responsibilities
* Arrange and conduct material handling equipment (MHE) operator training audits and provide guidance/advice to customers on matters relating to MHE training/safety
* Arrange and conduct LGV Exam Centre audits and provide guidance/advice to customers on matters relating to LGV training/safety
* Conduct MHE instructor exams
* Conduct LGV instructor exams
* Ensure all reports and assessment evidence are high quality and recorded accurately
* Collaborating with team members to continuously improve the services offered by RTITB
* Attending team standardisation meetings
* Undertaking relevant continuous professional development
* Maintaining safe systems of work at all times

You will have the following (essential):
* Lift truck instructor qualification (current or expired from RTITB, ITSSAR, AITT, NPORS or LANTRA)
* Current C+E LGV Licence
* Live in the locations specified above
* Effective communication skills
* A desire to develop and improve others
* A commitment to safety
* Ability to work effectively unsupervised
You may have the following (desirable):
* LGV Instructor qualification (current or expired from DVSA, RTITB, NVDIR, NRI)
* ISO9001 Lead Auditor qualification (or equivalent)
* 5+ years’ experience delivering LGV or MHE training
* ADI
* PCV Licence
* Knowledge of PREVENT and safeguarding
