What you will do in your working day
* Communicate well and be a good role model.
* Work as part of a team and Inspire outstanding practice.
* Act professionally in all situations.
* Have knowledge of the EYFS and Safeguarding requirements.
Work to a high standard ensuring all children and families are well cared for.
Keep records of their key children's assessments and observations and ensuring all other paperwork within the room is kept up to date (sleep & nappy charts, accident forms, risk assessments)
The candidate will complete a days trial within the room to show off their skills which must include the ability to engage with children and staff in a caring and kind manner, also to show how fun and exciting they can be.
Training will be given.
The training you will be getting
You will be supported by an assessor throughout your apprenticeship. As you progress through your apprenticeship your duties and responsibilities will alter as you develop the skills for a successful career in childcare
Training will be a mix of face to face and online learning.
You will gain an Early years Level 3 qualification with a view to continuing onto further levels of apprenticeships and training. This includes a Paediatric First Aid qualification.
Functional Skills in Maths and English if required.
