Reporting to our Sales Director and working alongside members of our internal sales team the successful candidate will be a key part of our drive to accelerate sales growth.
Varlink was acquired by Poindus Systems Corporation (a Compal company) in May 2024 and we are now well positioned to challenge for additional market share.
We distribute EPoS terminals and peripherals and Auto ID (barcoding hardware) into the IT Channel - ISVs, System Integrators, App Developers and hardware resellers.
The basic salary is £50,000 pa plus £4,000 car allowance. A team base commission plan is in place we would expect first year commission to be around £12,000.
Responsibilities
You will be responsible for growing sales with selected existing and potential customers. Working with office-based sales team members you will identify the potential of selected accounts and pull together the resources to meet customer requirements to build long term mutually beneficial relationships.
We anticipate you will be out with customers at least 3 days a week - at their locations, exhibitions or industry events.
Based in the north of England, ideally within 60 miles of York, you will cover the north of the UK.
Qualifications
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Skilled at relationship building
* At least 5 years sales experience - with 3 years in a customer facing field sales role
* You will have experience of selling into the IT channel - working for a hardware manufacturer or distributor. Ideally you will be from an EPoS or Auto ID background
* Full UK driving license and a car
