Our client is seeking an E&I CAD Technician to join them on a 3 month temp basis at their site in Warrington.
The CAD Technician will have the responsibility to support the Engineering & Design Department through provision of Digital Engineering Services including:
1. Provision of 2D Design Deliverables
2. Project Hand over support including Operation & Maintenance Manuals
The Instrument CAD Technician will have a technical engineering background and have industry related experience.
Role Detail Description:
The CAD Technician will work closely with the Instrument Engineer and Instrument Designers to support the efficient and effective delivery of engineering & design services.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Produce Computer Aided Design Deliverables in Auto CAD primarily loop diagrams and block cable diagrams
2. Have excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritise
3. Mentor/train junior team members
Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications & Experience:
1. ONC in technical engineering related subject or substantial experience
2. Familiarity with AutoCAD 2D
3. Familiarity with Revit (not essential)
4. Strong experience in UK construction projects
5. Experience of M&E design best practices (Focus on Instrumentation)
6. Experience of work on projects in Hazardous Areas (ATEX)
7. Strong understanding of design process & associated documentation
8. Project life cycle experience
9. Knowledge of data and administrative management practices and procedures
10. Ability to undertake site surveys
11. Collaborative skills and experience working as part of a multi-discipline team
Candidates must hold British Passport or valid RTW Share code.
