The Role
As the Sales Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering the company's sales strategy. You'll oversee key customer accounts, manage a motivated sales team, and explore new business opportunities across Northern Ireland, the UK, and Ireland. This role combines strategic vision with hands-on involvement, making it ideal for a proactive and results-driven leader.
Responsibilities
1. Develop and implement a sales strategy to achieve year-on-year revenue growth.
2. Manage key accounts, including buying groups, and lead the full sales cycle from prospecting to post-sale follow-up.
3. Drive the performance of the sales team, providing coaching, mentoring, and structured development plans.
4. Analyse sales metrics and market insights to refine strategies and maintain a competitive edge.
5. Oversee pricing strategies, incentive programmes, and promotional activities to optimise margins.
6. Build and nurture strong relationships with high-value customers, identifying opportunities for growth.
7. Represent the business at trade fairs and other marketing events, generating leads and expanding the customer base.
Requirements
What We're Looking For
1. Proven success in a Sales Manager or Key Account Manager role.
2. Strong leadership skills, with a track record of managing and developing high-performing sales teams.
3. Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities, capable of motivating and influencing stakeholders.
4. Analytical and strategic mindset, with the ability to interpret data and drive informed decisions.
5. Knowledge of the decorating, hardware, homeware, or gardening sectors is advantageous but not essential.
