Description We have an exciting opportunity for a Business Support Officer to maintain correspondence and an electronic monitoring and allocation system relating to complaints, members' enquiries, solicitors' letters, and ombudsman enquiries, as well as extract statistics on response times for performance monitoring purposes. Responsibilities To deal with enquiries from internal and external clients, including finance, income, payroll, administrative matters, and medical assessments, and provide high-quality customer care. Qualification – Essential GCSE Grade (or equivalent) in English Language and Mathematics. Level 3 NVQ in business administration Advanced –Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Social Media. Qualifications, Knowledge & Experience Requirements - Criteria-to be Tested at Shortlisting. Detailed knowledge of administration in an office environment. Experience using SAP in processes of Invoice checking, raising purchase orders, generating goods receipt notices, and monitoring. Advanced Microsoft Office and Excel knowledge to produce memos, letters and reports; EDMS for filing; ICaseWork for logging enquiries; IWorld, (email address removed) (EDMS) for indexing clients’ files as required. Able to work under pressure and process large volumes of invoices as required - Advanced Knowledge and understanding of finance and accounting in a local government setting. Understanding a local authority's operations, duties, and relationships with other organisations and service users. Have experience in financial procedures, i.e. purchase orders, petty cash, invoicing, etc.- Essential Experience in finance and administration. Maintain Accounts Payable operational files, such as invoice batches and shipping orders. Experience with a computerised financial information system in a large organisation. Experience in producing statistical reports. Experience using a range of IT systems, including spreadsheets and databases. Organising and maintaining filing systems, both manual and computerised. Accuracy and keen attention to detail in producing and maintaining information. The ability to organise and prioritise workloads and work to strict deadlines. Ability to work in a pressurised environment. Ability to work as part of a team. Communicate effectively orally and in writing. Ability to deal with confidential information appropriately.
