Our client is seeking a Subject Leader for Religious Education to join their school and play a pivotal role in shaping the RE curriculum. Responsibilities
* Lead, manage, and develop the RE department to ensure high standards of teaching and learning.
* Provide strategic direction and vision for the RE curriculum, ensuring it is engaging, inclusive, and relevant.
* Develop and implement schemes of work and assessment strategies that support the learning needs of all students.
* Foster a supportive and collaborative environment where teachers are motivated to continuously improve.
* Monitor the progress and achievement of students, setting and reviewing targets to ensure high academic standards.
* Lead departmental meetings and ensure that best practices are shared across the team.
* Work closely with senior leaders to ensure that RE is integrated into the broader curriculum and school ethos.
* Support and mentor colleagues in the RE department, including providing professional development opportunities.
Minimum Requirements
* A qualified teacher with QTS and significant experience in teaching Religious Education.
* A proven track record of leadership and management within a department, with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
* Deep knowledge of the Religious Education curriculum and the ability to implement innovative teaching practices.
* A commitment to high academic standards and improving outcomes for students.
* Strong organisational and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and senior leadership.
* Passionate about fostering an inclusive and reflective approach to teaching RE.
