The Secured Lending UK Team is part of Retail Banking and has responsibility for the mortgage portfolios of HSBC and first direct, representing c.£131bn+ in balances. The team are crucial to generating substantial revenue for HSBC UK.
We are seeking an innovative and dynamic Senior Product Manager to manage the Buy To Let proposition. This is an exciting role for someone to own the expansion of the BTL business into new segments for HSBC.

In this role you will:
1. Act as SME within Buy To Let, working with delivery experts to expand the HSBC product offering.
2. A key member of the mortgage management team, ensuring the Mortgage product lines (HSBC, First Direct) deliver their strategic goals and hit their combined P&L, balance sheets financial targets, facilitated through the development of digital journeys.
3. In conjunction with the Head of Specialist Lending, design and implement best-in-class journeys to provide an enhanced customer experience and gain commercial outcomes.
4. Work collaboratively with journey owners across Underwriting Services, Credit Risk, Distribution, first direct, and Mortgage Operations to drive ownership of and improvements in the full end-to-end journey.
5. Develop product strategy, which may include but is not limited to pricing, features changes, and acquisition channel management.
6. Lead the creation of innovative product and service propositions whilst ensuring propositions meet customer needs, economic environment, and drive competitive advantage.
To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:
1. Experience of Specialist Lending, particularly Buy To Let and the General Mortgage Market.
2. A track record of designing and delivering strategy which improves business effectiveness in sustainable ways.
3. Experience of leading a team.
4. A track record of delivering significant change both digital and non-digital which improves customer and commercial outcomes in a way that inspires and engages those around them.
5. Strong analytical skills to grasp, consolidate and distil diverse and complex sources and ranges of information into useful, insightful, and concise recommendations.
6. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, strong leadership and influencing skills with the ability to navigate across regulators as well as internal wider teams and senior stakeholders.
This role is hybrid and can be based in Birmingham, Leeds, or Sheffield.
