We are currently recruiting for a Kitchen Porter at LBG Harbourside. Location: LBG Harbourside, BS1 5LF Rate of pay: 12.00 per hour Working pattern: 37.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday (Weekends Off) About the role: You will be an integral part of the kitchen team helping with the daily preparation of food for breakfast & lunchtime service. Your role will include the receiving of all deliveries, making sure we are compliant with all hygiene and food safety standards and assisting the kitchen porters with ALL cleaning duties. The chosen candidate will be willing to adapt, think on their feet and conduct themselves in a professional manner. Key responsibilities • Prepare food from seasonally changing menus. • Preparation, production, and service of food to the standard required in a timely and efficient manner. • Practice and promote effective teamwork and communication amongst your direct work colleagues and colleagues in other departments. • Ensure compliance with inhouse HACCP and food hygiene, health, and safety systems to ensure compliance. • Completing duties with an attitude of always striving to exceed standards to promote improvements and raise the quality of feedback from all clients sites. • To maintain the day-to-day operational standards of the kitchen • To manage kitchen sections • To take responsibility covering all areas of kitchen operations. • To prepare reports including recording food temperatures. • To assist and be responsible for the acceptance of all deliveries • To assist the KP in the washup and the general cleanliness of the kitchen area • Stock rotation (FIFO) • Most importantly Take pride in your work and have fun doing it What's in it for you?
