We now have an exciting opportunity available for a Senior Landscape Architect to work with our client, a global engineering business. Ideally, you will be a Chartered Landscape Architect but if not, you will need to have the relevant experience in a similar position. There is no design involved so our client will consider someone who may have worked as a contract/administrative manager.
This is a minimum 12-month contract (inside IR35) and it requires someone in the office 2-3 days per week to start with before reducing down to 1 day per week once you are up to speed.
Principal responsibilities:
1. Able to make decisions and advise the client quickly on technical queries
2. Understand Local Authority requirements
3. SUDS for highways and green spaces
4. Support the clients design teams and operational delivery teams on hard landscaping
5. Business development to capture funding for new schemes
6. All engagement is internal
7. Act as the landscape expert in that office
8. Managing the contractors
Key skills/experience required:
1. Experienced with programme and cost control
2. A public sector background with parks maintenance experience is desired
3. You'll need to have a basic understanding of CAD & landscape design and legislation.
4. Experience with Design & CAD
5. Experience in contract management, client liaison and being able to steer the client in the right direction
