Our client, a respected public sector organisation, is seeking a talented Planning Officer to join their Place Shaping Team within Land and Regeneration Services. This role plays a vital part in housing-led regeneration initiatives, helping to transform communities through strategic planning and land use. It's an exciting opportunity for a planning professional eager to make a real impact on people's lives and living environments. Key Responsibilities: Deliver town planning services to support community planning and housing strategies. Contribute to regeneration schemes, including mixed-use and mixed-tenure developments. Conduct land asset evaluations, feasibility studies, and housing market analysis. Provide expert planning advice and support the Social Housing Development Programme. Liaise with local councils, stakeholders, and internal teams to support effective place shaping. What We're Looking For: A degree in Town Planning (RTPI accredited or equivalent). Minimum of 1 year's experience in a planning environment. Experience in at least two of the following: ?? Community-led regeneration ?? Site identification and assessment ?? Land asset management ?? GIS proficiency in planning projects A full UK driving licence or equivalent mobility. Desirable: RTPI membership (or working towards it) or membership in an equivalent professional body (e.g., IPI, RICS - P&D).
