Job summary An exciting opportunity has arisen on the GI Unit at St Thomas Hospital for a Band 3 Senior Nursing Assistant role. We have an established team of highly skilled, patient focused and friendly multidisciplinary professionals. Carrying out assigned tasks as part of clinical team in support of registered nurses and to undertake some aspects of care provision without direct supervision. Organising daily running of the area and liaising with service users. The GI unit is a 56 bedded tertiary referral unit, consisting of both Page and Northumberland wards caring for complex and challenging surgical patients from a wide geographical area with a range of Gastro intestinal conditions. We are looking to employ a hardworking, self-motivated individual preferably with extended skills andknowledge such as venepuncture and cannulation, basic wound care and ability to complete theadmission assessments. This role will allow you to develop and gain a wide range of additional clinical skills which will enhance your own personal development whist contributing to the high standard of care expected on the GI unit.
