Job Description
We are seeking a HR & Operations Manager for our Derby Office.
Role Overview:
As the HR & Operations Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving employee engagement, delivering HR operations and ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of business functions. You will be responsible for implementing people-focused strategies, fostering a positive workforce culture across multiple sites, and supporting continuous professional development. This role offers CIPD training opportunities to support your growth and development in HR best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Employee Engagement & Culture
* Develop and implement initiatives to enhance employee engagement, satisfaction, and retention.
* Foster a culture of inclusivity, collaboration, and high performance.
* Organize company-wide engagement activities, recognition programs, and well-being initiatives.
* Manage quarterly all hands meetings and newsletter.
* Act as a key point of contact for employees, ensuring a positive and supportive work environment.
HR Operations & Compliance
* All HR tasks are with unlimited support from our external HR advisors Peninsula.
* Manage the end-to-end HR function including:
o Onboarding and documentation
o Employee inductions
o Visa applications
o Variations to contracts
o Annual leave management
o Terminations
* Manage HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with employment law and industry best practices (guided by Peninsula).
* HR reporting to UK and Segula Group.
* Manage disciplinary and grievance procedures, ensuring fair and consistent application with guidance from Peninsula and support from business managers.
* Responsible for timely and accurate timesheet submission.
* Manage HR inbox and requests that arise from it.
* Management of BrightHR and BrightSafe
Professional Development & Training
* Ensure annual reviews are performed correctly.
* Ensure all employees have access to relevant learning and development opportunities.
* Support managers with performance reviews, training needs analysis, and career development planning.
* Take advantage of CIPD training, with opportunities to enhance your HR knowledge and skills.
Operational Excellence
* Work closely with leadership to streamline operational processes and improve efficiency.
* Manage office operations, vendor relationships, and workplace facilities.
* Identify and implement HR and operational process improvements to enhance overall business performance.
* Ensure marketing and workwear stock are maintained
Qualifications
About You:
* Engaging and driven people person with a desire for continual improvement.
* Organised.
* Proven experience in HR and/or operations management.
* Strong understanding of employee engagement strategies and HR best practices.
* Excellent communication and people management skills.
* Ability to handle multiple tasks, solve problems, and drive continuous improvement.
* If not already qualified, must have a desire to undertake CIPD training to further develop HR expertise.
