As the Head of Supply Chain you will:
1. Lead and develop the supply chain team, reviewing structure, job descriptions, and upskilling where required.
2. Build relationships with the Sales, Design, and Product teams to understand the challenges in the business and develop processes and systems that align with delivering great customer service.
3. Alongside Product and Sourcing, work with suppliers to understand capacity and lead times that support optimized inventory levels without affecting customer service.
4. Drive avoidance/cost reduction initiatives within the supply chain, including logistics routes, freight costs, external warehousing, and costs of import/export.
5. Contribute to the business strategy as a key member of the senior leadership team.
A successful Head of Supply Chain should have:
1. A working knowledge of a global supply chain (primarily Far East) within a medium/high SKU environment (circa 5,000).
2. Proven leadership experience in a similar role, demonstrating performance management and increased engagement.
3. Strong analytical and strategic planning skills, showing advanced stock/inventory management.
4. A track record in managing supply, demand, and warehouse teams.
