AVL United Kingdom Ltd offers a job in United Kingdom (GB) as an IT Analyst. We are looking for a driven individual to support our dynamic IT team. AVL UK Limited delivers high tech solutions to support the most advanced automotive, motorsport and commercial vehicle development programs.
At AVL UK ITS, we offer advanced technical solutions, then integrate them into the facilities and operations of our customers. Our projects range from single system upgrades up to complete development facilities, working with automotive, formula 1, commercial vehicle and other high technology customers. Contract values range from tens of thousands of pounds to over £20 million.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
General Description
This is a varied position involving both reactive and proactive support for IT equipment and software, owning and managing issues through to resolution for colleagues. As the IT Analyst, you will be tasked with providing support to colleagues that are office based and remote, with potential for occasional onsite visits to customer locations. Supporting IT and communications systems installed at AVL UK offices and remote customer sites ensuring their reliability and efficiency for colleagues. The IT Analyst is full time office based and first point of contact for colleagues reporting issues and seeking advice. Providing high quality customer service and communications in a timely manner is important.
Operational Tasks and Responsibilities
1. First point of contact for IT support issues
2. Responsible for resolving 1st/2nd line IT Service desk tickets to SLA
3. Maintain IT infrastructure and information security across all our UK sites
4. Administer and manage Windows notebooks, desktops
5. Administer and manage iPhones, iPads
6. Manage monitoring systems for issues and resolve alerts
7. Provide technical support to colleagues for all IT matters and keeping user devices in good working condition and arranging replacements when required
8. Maintain IT asset management
9. Form and maintain mutually supportive relationships with IT specialists based in AVL Austria and other AVL global affiliates
10. To keep up to date with technologies appropriate to the role and to provide proposals on improving existing technology, practices, and procedures
11. Onboarding new colleagues providing IT inductions
12. Documentation of processes and procedures, user guides
13. To carry out any other duties as reasonably required commensurate with the nature of the job
YOUR PROFILE:
Experience and requirements for the role
1. Graduate or min 3 years’ experience in IT Support / IT Helpdesk environment, in a 1st/2nd line support role
2. Good interpersonal and communication skills with a flexible and positive approach to work
3. Valid UK driving licence and Passport
4. Supporting Windows 10/11 / Office 365 applications
5. Apple iOS & iPadOS and MDM
6. Support and troubleshooting of laptop/desktop hardware and peripheral devices (inc. printers)
7. Experience supporting with conferencing solutions such as Cisco Webex / MS Teams
8. Knowledge of LAN fundamentals – patching
9. Experience with Active Directory / SharePoint
10. Experience working within an ISO27001 / ISO9001 environment
11. Experience of working in an ITIL based environment
12. Ability to prioritise support work and provide clear reports
13. Ability to manage your time effectively and work remotely if required
