- THE ROLE -
We seek to recruit an exceptional individual as a Communications, Events and Engagement Officer for our EPIC Futures Northern Ireland (NI) project. EPIC Futures NI is a £4.8million Local Policy Partnership (LPIP) hub, led by Ulster University and funded by the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC), Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC), Innovate UK and the UK Research and Innovation (UKRI).
The postholder will join an interdisciplinary team which involves academics and external actors from policy, industry and community representatives and will undertake a wide range of communication and engagement activities, and events to support EPIC Futures NI. The role will involve fostering new networks, collaborations and connections between the activities and research of EPIC Futures NI, the wider skills and employability ecosystem across Northern Ireland and across wider across the LPIP network in the UK. The successful candidate will be innovative, digitally competent, highly organised, customer-centric and capable of developing strategic plans and executing operational plans with meticulous attention to detail.
We may create a 12-month waiting list for the same or similar roles within the Department / Faculty. The University reserves the right to extend the waiting list across the University, if required for certain posts.
- ABOUT YOU -
The postholder will be required to have:
- A degree in a subject relevant to the post.
- Experience of developing and delivering effective business engagement and communications plans and campaigns, including setting appropriate metrics and monitoring and evaluating performance.
- Experience of writing content and working with a mix of digital and social media, including web analytics, and social and event support.
