About the Position
This position provides support for the promotion, recruitment, induction, ongoing training, deployment, and recognition of volunteers at the City of Stirling.
Key Responsibilities
The duties of the Volunteer Services Officer will include but are not limited to:
1. Volunteer Recruitment and Training.
2. Plan and evaluate day-to-day operations of Volunteer Services.
3. Assist with civic functions to recognize volunteer contributions and achievements.
4. Liaise with Program Coordinators, City of Stirling staff, and community groups to determine volunteer needs.
About You
The following qualifications and experience are highly desired, but if you don’t tick all the boxes, you could still be a perfect fit for this role. Please apply; all applications will be considered.
1. Certificate IV or equivalent in Community Services or demonstrated experience in working with volunteers.
2. Demonstrated ability to plan and support community-based services or activities.
3. Previous experience in working with diverse communities, programs, or services.
4. Effective conflict management and negotiation skills including the ability to deal with challenging situations.
5. Demonstrated knowledge of the relevant legislation and the ability to contribute to policies and procedures.

This permanent part-time position is a Level 5 Inside Workforce Agreement position which attracts a salary from $77,514.91 gross pro rata per annum plus superannuation.
To be eligible to work for us, you need to provide, or have the ability to obtain a:
1. A copy of Australian Driver’s Licence.
2. National Police Clearance (valid within the last 3 months).
3. Pre-Employment Medical and DAS clearance.
4. The right to work in Australia.
