Barry M are looking for a Junior Graphic Designer to join the Design team to deliver consistently high-quality designs for a range of digital and print projects. This role is perfect for an individual looking to enhance their creative and technical skills and to learn more about the beauty industry.
Job responsibilities include, but not restricted to:
* Providing day to day support to the Lead designer, assisting across multiple brand projects.
* Following guidelines to produce retailer materials as and when required.
* Creating original conceptual designs, as well as interpreting predetermined creative direction and adapting for digital/print.
* Creating social posts and stories to support various campaigns and new product launches.
* Develop digital artwork for website, display and social advertising.
* Keep up to date with trends, best practices, digital advancements, and competitors.
* Support the design team in organising files, admin tasks and keeping guidelines up to date.
* Creating renders/mock-ups from flat artwork or ideas.
* Assist with image sourcing and Pantone picking.
* Working closely with the wider design team to execute the final brand artwork for various outputs such as: web assets, packaging, marketing materials, retailer POS & digital materials and more, always ensuring complete brand consistency.
* Meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
* Maintain accuracy and attention to detail throughout the creative process
Requirements:
* A degree in Graphic Design or equivalent,
* A portfolio demonstrating both print and digital design projects, preferably within beauty or fashion.
* Proficient with Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign.
* A great eye for trends, contemporary design and a strong understanding of brand guidelines
* Able to multi-task and respond quickly to changes and requests.
* Able to work well using own initiative, prioritise own workload as well as collaborate and work as part of team
* A sharp eye for consistency, detail and have strong layout skills.
* Understand and be familiar with image formatting and setting up documents for print & web
* A positive, forward-thinking, and creative outlook to problem-solving
* A keen and quick learner who always strives to produce the highest standard of artwork
Beneficial:
* Ideally have at least 1-year of industry experience
