Youth Worker – Full-Time Role in Levenshulme Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated Youth Worker to join an Ofsted-rated "Good" secondary school in Levenshulme. This is a full-time position starting in January and running until the end of the academic year, with the possibility of being made permanent based on performance. The role offers £419.25 - £500 per week, depending on experience. About the Role: As a Youth Worker, you will play a key role in supporting the personal, social, and academic development of students within the school community. This position involves working closely with students who may face challenges that impact their ability to thrive in the classroom. You will help create a positive and inclusive environment, ensuring that every student has the opportunity to succeed. Key Responsibilities: One-to-One Support : Work with students individually to address specific concerns, such as behaviour, emotional well-being, or academic motivation. Small Group Interventions : Facilitate group sessions to develop social skills, resilience, and confidence among students. Building Relationships : Establish trust with students and act as a mentor and positive role model, providing guidance and encouragement. Behaviour Management : Support students in managing their behaviour and encourage positive attitudes towards learning and school life. Collaboration with Staff : Work alongside teachers, pastoral teams, and external agencies to provide holistic support for students. Promoting Inclusion : Help students engage fully with school activities, including lessons, extracurricular programs, and social interactions. Conflict Resolution : Use restorative practices to mediate disputes and encourage accountability and reconciliation. Monitoring Progress : Keep records of students’ progress and share insights with staff to inform strategies and interventions. Ideal Candidate Profile: Experience : Previous experience in youth work, education, mentoring, or a similar role is highly desirable.
