Company Overview
You will be joining a well-established, dynamic and forward-thinking InsurTech business as their Assistant Management Accountant on a full-time, permanent basis. Part of a close-knit team of 3, reporting directly into the Financial Controller, you will get fantastic exposure to high experienced Accountants who will be there to support you from day one. Based in their super modern City of London offices 3 days a week, you will have the option to work from home for the remaining 2 days.
Role Responsibilities
In your new role, you will be responsible for assisting in the preparation of monthly management accounts for the group, assisting with the month-end process, maintaining balance sheet and P&L schedules/reconciliations, checking/posting/paying purchase invoices, maintaining the finance mailbox, assisting with payroll for one of their abroad entities, assisting with the preparation of quarterly and year-end financial statements, assisting with various regulatory reporting requirements (e.g. VAT and corporation tax returns), working with the management team on annual group and project budgets, monitoring aged debtor and creditor balances and assisting with the maintenance of the credit control process, working with the finance team to support the completion of the annual financial audit and assisting with the preparation of revenue/expense/cashflow forecasts. You will also take part in ad-hoc duties as and when required.
Role Requirements
To be considered for this role, you will need to have at least 2 years of relevant experience in a similar role and have strong knowledge of double-entry bookkeeping. You will have exposure to month-end duties, monthly/quarterly reporting and purchase/sales ledger. You will be actively studying towards a further qualification such as AAT Level 3, ACCA or CIMA. You will have excellent communication skills and be confident liaising with senior stakeholders both internally and externally. You will have experience using an Accounts software such as Xero and be competent with the use of Excel to an intermediate level. You will be a proactive, enthusiastic, committed and dedicated individual with an outstanding work ethic and a highly motivated attitude. You will be able to work under pressure and use your initiative to solve problems in a timely manner.

You will receive an annual salary of up to £40,000 (depending on experience) + study support + benefits and this package will be regularly reviewed to remain in line with market rate.
