roleYou’ll be
working in the Control & Instrumentation engineering team to safely deliver
control system and PLC modifications and upgrades. This will include taking
responsibility for plant improvement projects, delivering high-quality,
cost-effective solutions.You’ll also
be expected to maintain and improve the existing control systems and PLCs by
implementing the latest security measures against cyber-attack. The role will challenge your technical
ability, problem solving and communication skills and will contribute to the
delivery of flexible, renewable energy at Drax Power Station.This role
provides an opportunity to develop into a subject matter expert for the
implementation of cyber-security improvements in-line with the latest NIS
regulation and IEC62443 recommendations.Who we’re
looking forYou’ll have a
minimum of a HND in Control & Instrumentation, Electrical/ Electronic
Engineering or Software Engineering. This will be coupled with previous PLC
programming experience in a technical role. Experience
of configuring and programming Schneider PLCs is desirable, as well as
knowledge of the NIS
regulation and IEC62443.The role comes
with a lot of project delivery, so alongside the technical expertise, you’ll be
an accomplished project manager and enjoy delivering critical projects and
managing a dynamic workload.Alongside
technical skills, you’ll demonstrate a keen willingness to learn. You’ll have
great analytical and problem-solving skills coupled with the ability to
communicate across all levels. You’ll need to be a champion of safety and
ensure that all environmental and housekeeping duties are carried out to a high
