Job Overview An exciting opportunity based at one of the Paragon Group Distribution Centres and reporting to the Head of Warehousing & Fulfilment, the Warehouse Team Manager is responsible for running a highly efficient and agile warehouse department. The role will be supporting and leading a warehouse team of up to 15 direct reports to ensure the requirements of the customer are delivered and the goals and objectives of the business are met. 40 hours per week - Monday to Friday 11:00am - 7:30pm As a Warehouse Team Manager, your main duties would include: To work alongside the Fulfilment and Production Planning departments to ensure distributions are fulfilled to SLA Responsible for the safe unloading/loading of vehicles and organise the off-loading, receipting and storage of goods in line with the warehouse standard operational procedures Maintain all operational equipment to a high standard and ensure prestart checks are conducted at the start of each shift reporting any defects to the Warehousing & Fulfilment Manager All trucks with batteries to have their water levels checked, maintained and are kept in a clean and tidy condition Manage and organise daily picking requirements in line with Customer SLA’s and ensure orders are fulfilled Manage/oversee the perpetual inventory checks schedule ensuring stock is counted Ensure end of day manifests are completed Monitor goods held in the ‘On Hold’ bin to ensure goods are moved to a warehouse bin and organise the removal of waste Review documentation (SOP’s) and working practices with a view to improving operational efficiency, effectiveness, and productivity Appropriately cascade and communicate KPI and organisation information through department meetings, one-on-one meetings, and regular interpersonal communication. Take overall responsibility for all aspects of the effective supervision, training, and welfare of your team Ensure that the quality of service within the team is maintained at the highest possible standards. Carry out spot checks and work closely with other managers to identify recurring problems and agree, initiate and monitor relevant corrective action Ensure effective workforce planning is completed in line with HR such as interviewing/onboarding support for new employees, lead performance management and manage training and development of your team, monitor absence records etc Responsible for Health & Safety policies and processes are being met always observe safe-working practices, and to report any breaches immediately Skills and Attributes we are looking for Previous experience leading a team of people within a warehouse envrionment Excellent time management and organisational skill Proficient use of information technology such as Microsoft, Excel, Explorer, and office products Problem solving skills with the ability to multi-task and work under pressure to tight deadlines Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levels Demonstrated commitment and enthusiasm Have good attention to detail, being thorough and analytical Good understanding of warehouse metrics including O.T.I.F requirements An expert knowledge of the print industry and practices is desirable Forklift truck licence desirable Various Employee Benefits included Please note that due to the high volume of responses we receive, only successful applicants will be contacted.
