Job overview
An excellent opportunity has arisen within the Facilities Portering Department at Royal Glamorgan Hospital to recruit additional Porter Security trained staff. The role will cover the full range of Porter based duties within the hospital environment alongside supporting security based duties and the prevention of violence and aggression. The role will be 24/7 provision with a working rota. The role will support a contract of 18.75 hours.
Main duties of the job
The post will support the following duties:
1. Contribute to the provision of healthcare for the Cwm Taf University Health Board (CTUHB) by delivering a porter service which meets all organisational and legislative standards and supports the Facilities Unit commitment to a safety and quality framework.
2. Support the Porter Services Supervisor and Porter Team Leader in supervising the provision of Porter and Security services delivery that are managed from a Facilities Security Control Centre based at the hospital, ensuring a high quality service is delivered to patients, staff and visitors in accordance with service specifications.
3. Perform supplementary duties to respond to service needs that are appropriate to the Facilities services and in line with their grade.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
