Berkshire Primary Care is a GP Federation of the GP Practices in Bracknell & Ascot and has been chosen by it's local Primary Care Networks (PCNs) to be the Lead Provider for the local vaccination site based in Bracknell. We are proud to be working alongside Waitrose who have kindly provided us with the site.
We are now looking for additional trained Vaccinators to work in our site. We are offering a competitive hourly rate and flexible working and the opportunity to be part of this fantastic essential service.
Main duties of the job
You will ideally be a trained Vaccinator who has experience of vaccinating against Covid-19 and Flu but we are able to provide competency training on site.
Competency training will only be provided to those who can provide evidence of completion of the mandatory e-learning.
It is essential for you to complete and pass the competency training for your application to completed and to join our team.

Job responsibilities
The aim of the role is to support our Autumn Flu and Covid vaccination campaign. vaccinate our local population against Covid-19. We are looking for:
Vaccination Practitioners who can work to the PGD and can therefore legally supply andadminister vaccine under a PGD
Nurses and Midwives registered with the NMC
Pharmacists registered with GPhC
Chiropodist / Podiatrist,Dieticians, Occupational Therapist, Orthoptists, Orthotists I Prosthetists,Paramedics, Physiotherapists,Radiographers, Speech + LanguageTherapists registered with HCPC
Dental hygienist and Therapists, registered with GDC
Optometrist registered with GOC
The shift pattern is 5 hour shifts: 9am to 2pm or 2pm to 7pm.
Full competency onsite training will be provided but evidence that the mandatory training (links provided below) has been completed must be submitted prior to interview and competency assessment.

Essential
1. We vaccinate under PGD, so Practitioners working must be one of the following registered professionals who can legally supply and administer under a PGD:
2. Nurses and midwives currently registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC)
3. Pharmacists and pharmacy technicians currently registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
4. Chiropodists
5. Podiatrists
6. Dieticians
7. Occupational Therapists
8. Orthoptists
9. Orthotists/prosthetists
10. Paramedics
11. Physiotherapists
12. Radiographers
13. Speech and language therapists currently registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
14. Dental hygienists and dental therapists registered with the General Dental Council
15. Optometrists registered with the General Optical Council
Desirable
16. Experienced in delivery of Covid and Flu vaccinations
17. Experience of working in healthcare setting during the Pandemic so familiar with infection control and PPE
