Job description Job title: Class 2 Delivery / Collections Driver Based at: Coatbridge Depot Responsible to: Transport Manager Responsible for: Drivers Assistant Key Relationship with: Warehouse Management/Supervision, Telesales Job Purpose Summary: Driving a bespoke vehicle which is designed specifically for this job. To ensure proper carriage, handling and delivery of ambient and frozen food products to designated customer locations within set timeframes whilst delivering high standards of customer care. To ensure delivery in full and accurate recording of delivery and submission of delivery documentation to operational management. Manual Handling is essential in this role. Hours: Start times varying from 06:00 07:00, guaranteed 45 Hours Per week Mon Friday (Inclusive of 5 x 60 Minute paid breaks) Overtime Hourly Rate: £14.10 Annual: £33,000 basic. Overtime & OTE earnings raising realistic Annual Average Earnings in excess £40k per year. Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Keeps accurate records of deliveries and customer receipt and ensures all completed documentation is submitted to management in a timely manner. Communicates any delivery shortages or delivery discrepancies as soon as they are discovered and ensures they are recorded correctly. Drive safely following Road Safety laws and rules including ,Drivers Hours and Working Time Directive and maintain appropriate licensing, credentials and acceptable driving record. Keeps company vehicle clean and ensures the vehicle is fully road legal and ready to drive or reports any defects immediately as part of a daily walk round inspection procedure. Ensures Food Hygiene standards are maintained at all times during the delivery process. Be the customer facing representative whilst delivering excellent customer care and communicate customer issues immediately to operational management. Report to management obstructions or risks to making safe and efficient deliveries. Maintains communication with depot operations to advise of any changes or delays to delivery route or schedule. Essential Skills Required: Holder of a Class 2 HGV Licence Holder of Full Driver CPC Card No more than 6 Points on Licence Physically Capable, able to drive long distances and cover 2-day journeys inclusive of nights out.
