Key Responsibilities:
* Provide 1:1 support to a primary school student, helping them with their schoolwork, activities, and playtime. ✏️
* Tailor your support to meet the child’s individual needs, helping them reach their full potential.
* Encourage the student’s independence, confidence, and social skills – making learning fun and exciting!
* Work closely with the class teacher to ensure the best support and care for the student.
* Adapt lesson materials and teaching styles to suit the child’s learning needs.
* Monitor progress and share feedback with the teacher and parents to ensure success.
* Help with general classroom activities and create a welcoming, supportive atmosphere for all students.
* Attend training sessions and school meetings to continue learning and growing in the role.
What We’re Looking For:
* Experience working with children, especially in a primary school setting, would be great!
* A qualification in Education, Childcare, or SEN (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant) is a bonus.
* Previous experience supporting children with special needs is a plus.
* A warm, friendly, and patient nature with the ability to build positive relationships with children.
* Great communication skills – you’ll be liaising with the teacher, parents, and other staff. ️
* A proactive, enthusiastic approach to helping children learn and grow.
* Ability to keep calm in all situations and stay positive and supportive. ✨
