Are you ready for an exciting opportunity in the rail industry? We are looking for skilled and enthusiastic individuals to join a busy rail company in the Train Care team. As a Multiskilled Rail Operative, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the interiors of an operational train fleet are maintained to the highest standards, ensuring both functionality and appearance.
What You’ll Do:
Perform routine checks and repairs on train interiors, including seating, windows, table trays, toilets, hand dryers, baby change areas, and more.
Conduct quality inspections, basic mechanical fitting, general maintenance, and graffiti removal, ensuring all fixtures are presentable and safe.
Manage inventory levels for tools and materials, reporting any shortages.
Act as the first responder for faults or damages, carrying out repairs and ensuring all tasks meet high safety and quality standards.
Maintain accurate records of all work completed and uphold health and safety regulations at all times.
Receive full training and competency assessments to excel in your role.

Key Requirements:
Competency in basic mechanical fitting tasks.
Experience in the rail sector is advantageous, though candidates from other trades, engineering, production, or facilities maintenance backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
Ability to work to high safety standards in a fast-paced environment.
Team player with strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks.
A valid PTS (Personal Track Safety) certification is highly desirable, though training can be provided for the right candidate.
Please note that successful applicants will need to pass a drug and alcohol test and comply with ongoing random testing policies due to the nature of the work environment.
