We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Geography Teacher to join our vibrant secondary school in Bacup on a maternity cover basis, starting in January 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity to inspire and educate students in one of the core subjects of our curriculum.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan and deliver engaging Geography lessons to KS3 and KS4 students
* Foster a stimulating and supportive learning environment
* Prepare students for GCSE exams, ensuring they reach their full potential
* Mark, assess, and provide constructive feedback on students' work
* Collaborate with other members of the department and contribute to curriculum planning
* Support the school’s ethos of inclusivity and academic excellence
What We’re Looking For:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
* Specialism in Geography with experience teaching up to GCSE level
* Strong classroom management skills and the ability to motivate students
* Passion for Geography and a commitment to fostering a love of learning
* Excellent communication and organisational skills
* A team player who is flexible and adaptable
