The Role:
We invite you to be part of our Consultant Psychiatrist team, where your leadership will drive the mental health care provision in Eating disorders. You will also be part of the on-call rota, which includes providing emergency mental health assessments and treatment when required. The on-call frequency will be explained ahead of the interview, ensuring you balance clinical duties with professional development.
Key Responsibilities:
* Performing comprehensive assessments and developing treatment plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
* Leading ward rounds, multidisciplinary team meetings, and care reviews.
* Overseeing clinical management of complex cases, particularly those involving risk or challenging behaviour.
* Supporting patients and families through treatment decisions, relapse prevention, and recovery pathways.
* Providing mentorship, supervision, and support to junior medical staff and other healthcare professionals.
* Driving quality improvement initiatives and maintaining compliance with CQC regulations and national standards.
* Collaborating with site leadership to ensure efficient service delivery and patient satisfaction.
