Due to expansion, our client based in Beaconsfield is looking for an experienced, committed Medical Receptionist (Full or Part Time) to join their thriving, dedicated team.
The role of the Medical Receptionist is vital to the continued success of the business. You will be dealing with a wide range of telephone enquiries from customers, processing bookings and managing related administration.
Due to the nature of the work and the opening hours of the practice, we are able to offer a range of full or part-time working patterns, including Monday - Friday daytimes, evenings, and alternate Saturdays.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Answering calls from customers in a professional and caring manner.
2. Dealing with customer questions/queries and booking GP or nurse appointments.
3. Ensuring patients complete a new patient registration and GDPR forms.
4. Adding information to patient records, paying very careful attention to detail.
5. Passing prescription requests through to clinicians.
6. General administration including scanning, faxing, typing, filing, opening and distributing post, franking post, shredding, and ad hoc admin tasks.
Skills and Experience:
1. Educated to GCSE level (or equivalent) including Maths and English.
2. At least 2 years customer service and administration experience ESSENTIAL (they will not be able to consider applications without this level of experience).
3. Computer literate, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
4. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
5. Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
