Brocklesby - Northern Lincolnshire - Rural Practice Surveyor
An opportunity has arisen for a bright, forward-thinking, commercially astute individual to join this progressive, yet traditional estate.
Brocklesby is a 27,000-acre diversified private family business in northern Lincolnshire. Its interests include in-hand farming, let farms, residential and commercial property, renewable energy, forestry, minerals, development, heritage assets, sporting, and off-estate property and investment interests.
The Rural Practice Surveyor role will encompass most of the usual aspects of estate management, with an emphasis on redundant farmsteads and buildings, and other smaller scale planning and development projects. Knowledge of classes Q & R would be beneficial.
Other areas of responsibility include:
1. FBT’s
2. Commercial and equine lettings
3. Historic Land Management Plan
4. Diversifications
5. Visitor access requests and events management
6. Sales and purchases
7. Liaison with utility companies
8. Covenants
9. Caravan and container storage rentals
10. Environmental schemes and BNG
11. Roadside tree survey liaison
12. Maintenance of estate infrastructure
An interest in renewables would be helpful. The Property Manager deals with the residential portfolio.
Candidates would ideally have several years of post-qualification experience but remain keen to widen their knowledge base and take on responsibilities. They should have initiative, energy, creativity, enthusiasm, and persistence. They will be able to juggle multiple projects and topics, balance priorities, and have a practical non-bureaucratic approach.
An attractive reward package, commensurate with experience, is offered. For more information or an informal discussion about the role, contact Kit Read – Managing Director – at c.read@brocklesby.co.uk.
